"to" field when sending email to multiple domains

Hi Guys,

this is the situation:

- exchange configured to accept email on 2 domains, A and B. Everything is working

- each user receives on both domain, but they have domain A as default.

problem

- if I send on domain B the user receives the email, but on his "to" field the email looks like to be sent to domain A instead of B

goal:

- I need to create a rule that if an email has been sent to domain B the email will be moved to a particular folder. Now I can't because from outlook prospective has been sent to domain A

thanks

You can create a separate mailbox for each domain.

You can try to create rule in Outlook.

----------------------------------------

Apply this rule after message arrives

with [B domain email address] in the message header

move it to the [target folder] folder.

-----------------------------------------

Please test if this approach does not cause undesired effects in your use case.

Hi,

In order to aviod misunderstanding, I would like to let you know my understand.

So , you have 2 accounts ,for example AA@A.com and BB@B.com . These 2 accounts are in the same outlook now.

When you sent a mail using BB@B.com to a user, the users TO field is AA@A.com ,right?

It must be something wrong. The TO field must be the users account.

If the users FROM field is AA@A.com ,please make sure that you have selected the BB account and clicked New Email.

Let me know what I misunderstand.

Thanks

Mavis

Actually, it's neither.  The destination address is the legacyExchangeDN property of the mailbox.
